The Pond of Montady, west of Béziers, Southern France, is a pond dried up in the 13th century. The water, unsanitary in the Middle Ages, was evacuated by means of star-shaped drainage channels around a central collector: the redondel, then led to the Capestang pond by the Malpas hill, at the foot of the hill of Ensérune. The shape of the great sun and the lights of this unique landscape have given birth to these new pictorial perspectives.
